Privacy policy
BLANC ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to its website (the "Site") and of its guests. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over your data.
This policy is provided in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the "GDPR") and the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, as amended (the "Loi Informatique et Libertés").

How this Site works
So that you understand where your data goes, here is how the Site is built and which third parties are involved:
The Site is designed and hosted on Framer (Framer B.V., Netherlands). Framer hosts the pages and provides our audience-measurement statistics.
Table reservations are handled through a TheFork booking module embedded directly in the Site (operated by La Fourchette SAS, France). When you use this module, you interact directly with TheFork's reservation system within our page.
Gift cards are sold through our online store powered by Lightspeed (Lightspeed Commerce). The "buy a gift card" link takes you to a checkout page operated on the Lightspeed platform.
Each of these providers is described in more detail below.
Data we collect and why
Mesure d'audience (Framer Analytics).
Third-party services
Framer hosts the Site and provides our analytics. Framer acts as our processor for hosting and technical data. See Framer's privacy policy at framer.com/legal/privacy.
TheFork provides the embedded reservation module. When you interact with it, you are submitting your booking to La Fourchette SAS, which processes your data both on our behalf and as a controller in its own right (including, where applicable, for its own loyalty and analytics purposes), and which may set its own cookies. Your use of the reservation module is also governed by TheFork's Privacy and Cookies Statement, available at thefork.com/legal.
Lightspeed powers our online gift card store. When you buy a gift card you are taken to a checkout page operated on the Lightspeed platform, which processes your purchase data on our behalf and may set its own cookies on that page, and through which a payment provider handles your card payment. Lightspeed's privacy notice is available at lightspeedhq.com.
We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data where we are required to do so by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Cookies
Our own audience measurement (Framer Analytics) is cookieless and does not require your consent. BLANC does not place any non-essential cookies of its own on the Site.
The only cookies that may be set come from the third-party services described above. The TheFork reservation module embedded in the Site may set its own cookies (for functional, analytics or marketing purposes) when the page is displayed or when you interact with it. The Lightspeed pages you are directed to in order to purchase a gift card may likewise set their own cookies. In each case those cookies are placed and managed by the provider concerned and are governed by that provider's own cookie policy (see the links above).
You can control or block cookies at any time through your browser settings, as well as through any cookie controls offered by TheFork and Lightspeed. Most browsers also allow you to refuse third-party cookies by default.
.
Recipients of your data
Your data is accessed by authorised staff of BLANC and by the service providers described above (Framer, TheFork, Lightspeed and the payment provider), each acting under appropriate contractual safeguards. We may also share data with public authorities where required by law.
International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular where they rely on sub-processors located in other countries. Where this is the case, the transfer is governed by an appropriate safeguard under the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or the Standard Contractual Clauses. You may contact us for further information.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:
Reservation data is kept for the period needed to manage your booking and our ongoing relationship with you; the lifecycle of this data is also managed by TheFork under its own policy. Customer and prospect data is not kept for more than three years from your last contact with us, unless a longer period is required by law.
Enquiries are kept for the time needed to handle your request and for a limited archival period afterwards.
Gift card and order data is kept as required to fulfil the order and to meet our legal and accounting obligations (in France, accounting records are kept for ten years).
Audience measurement data is aggregated and retained by Framer in aggregate form.
Your rights
In accordance with the GDPR and the Loi Informatique et Libertés, you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to give instructions on the fate of your data after your death.
To exercise these rights, please contact us at info@blanc-paris.com or by post at BLANC, 52 rue de Longchamp, 75116 Paris, France. We will respond within one month. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. For reservation data, you may also exercise your rights directly with TheFork.
If you believe that your data has not been handled in accordance with the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés, 3 Place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, www.cnil.fr).
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Our providers maintain their own security measures, and payment data is handled by payment providers using industry-standard, PCI-compliant security.
Children
The Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The applicable version is the one available on the Site on the date of your visit. We encourage you to review it regularly.
